What the numbers mean
Solid brass. Not aluminium, not painted die-cast, not plastic. Brass does not corrode; it oxidises to a brown-green patina and then stops, and a brass fixture buried in a flowerbed in 2010 is still a working fixture. Every other spotlight on this page is aluminium with a sealed LED, which is a component. This is hardware.
Eight uplights at 5 W and four path lights at 3 W, in one box. Twelve fixtures. It is the only kit here that lights a facade and a walk from the same transformer, and it is the reason this sits in the spotlight hub even though a third of the box is path lighting — if you want path lights alone, the Linkind or the Beau Jardin is the cheaper answer by a very long way.
A 150 W transformer, included, with a mechanical timer. This is what you are actually paying for. Every other spotlight on this page needs a transformer you buy separately and size yourself, and a bad transformer is how the LEONLITE owners lost several fixtures on one line at once. A toroidal-core 150 W unit with room above your load is the difference between a system and a pile of fixtures.
250 ft of direct-burial cable, and the bulbs. Direct-burial means it goes in the ground without conduit. And the bulbs are replaceable — MR16 and G4, standard parts — so a dead lamp is a cheap lamp, not a dead fixture.
No app, no radio, no colour. A timer and a switch. It will do warm white in 2035.
Who it is for
- Anyone treating landscape lighting as a permanent improvement to the house rather than as a thing they are trying this year.
- A whole front: facade, specimen trees, and the walk to the door, on one circuit.
- People who got a quote. Reviewers repeatedly compare this against professional installs quoted at several times what the kit costs, and did the work themselves in an afternoon.
Who should buy something else
- Almost everyone, on price. This is by far the most expensive thing in this catalogue. Four DEWENWILS fixtures and a transformer will light a facade for a small fraction of it, and for many houses that is the correct call and this is over-buying.
- You want colour or app control: VOLT sells RGBW fixtures separately; this kit has none. The Govee spotlights are the addressable option here.
- You are renting. This is a trenching job.
What we could not check
We have not installed this kit, and there are two specific gaps.
The first is the price. Amazon would not render a US price for this listing from where we checked, so the cost tier on this page comes from a Walmart marketplace listing for the same kit, which may carry a reseller markup. It is in the High-end band under any plausible correction — the tier is safe — but the underlying number is not an Amazon number and we would rather say so than let a precise-looking figure imply a precision we do not have.
The second is the evidence record. It belongs to a parent listing covering at least three sibling kits — this one, a 6-spotlight-and-4-path version, and a 6-and-2 — and it is pooled across all of them. So the record behind it describes a VOLT brass kit, not necessarily this configuration. The sentiment is unusually consistent — brass that has not corroded after years, original bulbs still lit at three years, installs described as two or three hours — but the record is doing less work than it appears to.
The recurring complaint is that bulbs were missing from some earlier kit variants, so count what arrives. And burying cable under an existing path is harder than the marketing video suggests.

Price tiers are our own rough budget bands, not live prices. Check the listing for today’s price. The price itself stays on the listing, where it is current, rather than here, where it would go stale. The same catalogue drives the calculator, so a number here and a number there are the same number.
