The differences that matter

  • Completeness: the LEONLITE 6 needs a 12-24 V transformer bought separately. The VOLT kit includes a 150 W transformer with a mechanical timer, 250 ft of direct-burial cable and the bulbs.
  • Count: 6 spotlights against 8 uplights plus four 3 W path lights.
  • Material: the VOLT listing describes solid brass that weathers to a patina. The LEONLITE has an oil-rubbed bronze aluminium housing.
  • Light: the LEONLITE is 3000K at CRI 90 with a 45-degree beam. The VOLT kit is 2700K and gives no beam or CRI figure.
  • Weather rating: the LEONLITE is IP65. The VOLT kit is UL listed with direct-burial cable, which is not an IP number, so they cannot be ranked. The LEONLITE is the lower cost tier.
