What the numbers mean
60 lights at 20 in over 100 ft. The same arithmetic as the Pro 100, a cost tier down. A clean row of dots that reads as a line from the street and as separate points from the porch.
Six strands of 16.6 ft. Not one continuous run. You are joining six pieces, which means six more places for water to find a connector, and it means an odd length is easier to make up than on a fixed-segment kit.
The bracket is the actual feature. It mounts on a wall face or a ceiling face, not only on the underside of a soffit overhang. If your eave has no lip to hide a channel under — a flush fascia, a modern box eave, a porch ceiling — this is the kit that goes up without improvising, and that is a genuinely uncommon thing in this category.
2700K to 6500K, 16 million colours, 85 scenes. On paper the equal of anything here. The scenes are generated in Aidot, which is where the trouble is.
Who it is for
- A roofline at or near 100 ft where the budget is the deciding constraint and you would rather have a smart kit than a dumb one.
- Houses with nowhere obvious to hide a channel. The mounting bracket is the reason to choose this over a cheaper no-name.
- Someone who will tolerate an app that occasionally needs fighting in exchange for spending a good deal less.
Who should buy something else
- You want it to just work: the Lights 2 100 costs more and has a support operation behind it. That is the trade, stated plainly.
- You want a dedicated white channel: the Pro 100 has one. Side by side.
- You will not use colour at all: if this is going up warm white and staying warm white for five years, the smart features are the part most likely to break and you are paying for them.
What we could not check
We have not mounted this kit. The spec is the listing’s; the render places 60 points at 20 in, which is the arithmetic, not the install.
Two things in the review record are worth knowing before you buy, and neither is fatal. The first is the Aidot app: complaints repeat, and one detailed report describes the schedule reverting to flashing presets instead of the saved custom scene, later fixed by an app update. A control app that needs a patch to hold a schedule is a control app that can regress again.
The second is worse and we are going to say it flatly. One reviewer reports total failure at six months and a three-year warranty claim refused outright — no replacement, no refund. Other reviewers praise the same support operation, so this is not a settled pattern, and the history behind this kit is too short to draw a pattern from at all. But the whole argument for this kit is that it is the cheap one, and the risk you take on the cheap one is precisely that nobody catches you. Buy it on the understanding that the warranty may be worth what you paid for it.
This is also, as of this catalogue, the cheapest 100 ft kit here, which means the calculator will recommend it for any roofline it covers. That is the calculator working as designed — it picks on price so commission cannot pick for it — and it is not us saying this is the best kit on the page. It is the cheapest one that fits.

Price tiers are our own rough budget bands, not live prices. Check the listing for today’s price. The price itself stays on the listing, where it is current, rather than here, where it would go stale. The same catalogue drives the calculator, so a number here and a number there are the same number.
