The differences that matter

  • Direction: the UpDown 2 throws a cone up the wall and a cone down it. The Kichler is listed as Dark Sky compliant, so its light goes down rather than sideways.
  • Colour: the UpDown has 4 addressable zones, an RGBIC accent strip and 2700K to 6500K white. The Kichler has no sensor and no radio.
  • Count: the UpDown 2 is two lights in the box; the Kichler Cylinder is one.
  • Light: the UpDown states 600 lm per light. The Kichler takes a BR30 bulb up to 65 W and states no lumens.
  • Weather rating: the UpDown is IP66, the Kichler UL wet location. The Kichler is dimmable with the right bulb and dimmer.
