The differences that matter
- Brightness: the SL5C 4 is 120 lm and 3 W a fixture. The DEWENWILS 4 is 540 lm and 14 W. The SL5C listing says that level accents a feature rather than washing a two-storey wall.
- Colour: the SL5C 4 has 4 addressable zones and is listed as RGBTW. The DEWENWILS 4 has none and is 3000K white.
- Power: the SL5C is solar and self-contained, with no cable to trench. Its product notes say runtime depends on how much sun the panel gets, so a shaded spot gives a shorter night. The DEWENWILS uses fast-lock connectors on a 15 in tail.
- Weather rating: the SL5C is IP67 and the DEWENWILS is IP65, so the SL5C is rated for more water.
- Beam: the DEWENWILS has a 70-degree beam on a head that swings through 270 degrees. The SL5C listing describes it as aimed up at a tree, chimney or gable end.
