The differences that matter

  • Beam: the LEONLITE 6 has a 45-degree beam; the DEWENWILS 4 has a 70-degree beam on a head that swings through 270 degrees. A narrower beam picks out one feature, a wider one covers more wall.
  • Brightness: the DEWENWILS 4 states 540 lm per head at 14 W. The LEONLITE lists 5 W and no lumen figure, so a direct brightness comparison is not possible from the listings.
  • Colour quality: the LEONLITE is listed at CRI 90 against CRI 80 for the DEWENWILS, both at 3000K.
  • Power: the LEONLITE runs on 12-24 V and needs a transformer bought separately. Its product notes also say the LED is sealed in, so when it fails the whole fixture goes.
  • Count and connectors: 6 lights against 4. The DEWENWILS listing includes fast-lock connectors on a 15 in tail and says it is not dimmable.
