S14 96 vs addlon 48

Length and control split these two. Govee's S14 96 covers 96 ft with 30 colour-addressable bulbs; addlon's Edison string is 48 ft of 24 plain warm-white sockets, in the same cost tier.

Govee

S14 96

96 FT · 30 BULBS · IP66

The 48 ft string at double the length, for a run that crosses a yard or goes back and forth over a patio. Same bulb, same brightness, one controller — but it arrives as two 48 ft strands you join, not as one continuous reel, which catches people out. The adapter still has to be kept dry.

addlon

addlon 48

48 FT · 24 BULBS · ETL, WEATHERPROOF

24 E17 sockets with shatterproof vintage-filament LED bulbs, warm white and not colour-changing. Dual-parallel wiring, so one dead bulb does not take the strand. Dimmable with a separate dimmer, and up to 28 strands chain end to end.

What differs	S14 96	addlon 48	Why it matters
Budget band	Budget	Budget	Same tier. We print neither number; the buttons above open the live listings.
Length	96 ft	48 ft	Longer is only better if the roofline needs it. The calculator says which.
Lights, pitch	30	24 at 24 in
Addressable zones	30	0	A zone is the smallest thing the app can colour on its own. Alternating schemes need one per light.
Per light	65 lm	not stated	Brightness per point. More points at fewer lumens can add up to the same total.
Weather rating	IP66	ETL, weatherproof	The higher number survives more water. Anything under a gutter wants IP67 or better.

The differences that matter

Length: the S14 96 is twice addlon's 48 ft, but its notes say it arrives as two 48 ft strands you join rather than one reel.
Zones: all 30 S14 bulbs are addressable. addlon has none and is warm white only.
Spacing: addlon has 24 lights at 24 in. The S14 96 has 30 lights across 96 ft and gives no spacing figure.
Brightness: Govee states 65 lm per bulb; addlon states no per-bulb figure.
Weather: the S14 is IP66, but its adapter must be kept dry according to its notes. addlon is listed as ETL and weatherproof with no IP number.
